Step By Step Guide: Dimensional Brunette with NXT Always in Colour

Natural Base: 5-0

Previous Colour: Hair has faded permanent colour level 7-0 with red / violet tones with a thick texture.

Step 1

  • Hair was divided into 4 sections and NXT Permanent 5-0 200g + 200g 10 Vol 3% was applied to all root areas working from front hairline throughout top, sides and back sections.
  • For the mid lengths and ends a mixture of NXT Permanent 6-7 100g + 7-1 100g + 200g 10 Vol 3% were applied throughout all the remaining sections of hair.
  • Everything was processed for 30-40 minutes.
  • Hair was rinsed using IQ Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner.
  • The hair was dried to prepare for Balayage.

Step 2

Step 3 & 4

  • Sections of free hand balayage were created through the hair, applying lightener thickly through ends and then blending midway upwards throughout the hair. The same method was used throughout the hair, using cotton wool to separate sections.
  • This was processed for up to 40 minutes checking regularly.
  • Hair was rinsed using IQ Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and IQ 10-in-1 was used to even out porosity. Hair was dried to prepare for toning.
  • A toner was mixed using NXT Demi 7-32 100g + 200g 5 Vol 1.5% this was applied quickly to all lightened areas of hair and processed for up to 20 minutes checking regularly.
